Travel Grants for ICYMARE 2026 BREMEN have been allocated - check your inbox if you applied!
As every year, we received a lot of fantastic and interesting applications, and - also as every year - choosing the recipients was not an easy task.
This year, we are supporting some outstanding early-career researchers from Brazil, Indonesia, Russia, and Switzerland to come to ICYMARE 2026 BREMEN and present their work. They are doing really great and interesting research in their home countries, but have so far had limited opportunities to gain international conference experience. We are really happy that we can help change that!
A big thank you goes to The Company of Biologists, who are supporting our travel grant program this year. Funding for conference travel is not always easy to find, especially for early-career researchers. With their support, we were able to fund one more researcher than originally expected - and that honestly makes a real difference.
To everyone who did not receive a travel grant this year: please do not be too discouraged or disappointed. We really appreciate the time and effort you put into your applications, and we hope to see many of you in Bremen anyway. We will share any external funding opportunities we come across on our social media accounts, so make sure to check back regularly.
