G'day! This is an announcement to say that if you want to join us at the festival and haven’t booked your ticket - now is the time!
Sales have been a little slow so far and since we’ve significantly expanded the programme this year, we really need to see a bump in sales soon if the festival is to go ahead.
Obviously, the last thing we want to do is cancel, so if you haven’t done so already, buy your ticket now, tell your friends to buy their tickets, and please spread the word!
Latest additions to the line-up include…
Canongate's Future Forty poet, Ryan Van Winkle, reading from his forthcoming book, The Good Dark.
Wyndham Wallace, reading from Lee, Myself and I, his acclaimed memoir documenting his friendship with the legendary song writer Lee Hazlewood. Wyndham will be bringing along clips and Hazlewood rarities.
Billy Liar, blasting us with his acoustic punk attack. Expect driving sincerity from Scotland's favourite troubadour.
All-girl, all-cello band, Razor C***s. Prepare to be bowled over by this bratty no-wave, riot grrl avalanche.
Michael Knight, purveyors of tightly woven pop gems.
Faith Eliott's beautiful alt-folk, full of dense imagery and surprising wisdom.
Joe McMahon, Smoke or Fire frontman, sings about confusion, drinking and memories.
Balkan folk fusion duo, The Balkonians, bringing some Eastern European flair.
We’ll also have a curated independent film programme from Berlin's W O L F Kino, tucked deep inside the darkness of the fort.
Workshops include Photography, Place Writing, Fiction From Your Fears, Drawing is Dancing, Writing & The Body, Basic Massage Techniques, Breaking the Law and Cut Ups.
Plus a packed kids program, yoga, catering from The Dairy, surreal fortunes, book launches, late night DJ's, a carefully stocked bar, scary stories, an open mic, hula hooping, competitions, with everything taking place in a magical location and all wrapped up in a huge moat. What more could one possibly want?
Yours Festivally,
