Scottish Music Parade

Scottish Music Parade The Scots are coming! And no, men won’t be wearing trousers, they’ll be wearing kilts. They are in tartans in the colours of their individual clans.

Celtic magic and Scottish joie de vivre – that is what the audience can experience when the Scottish Music Parade comes to a place near you. Bagpipe players, drummers, musicians, singers and dancers, every last one direct from Edinburgh, Scotland will carry the audience along for a whole evening on a journey through Scotland that is as stirring as it is varied. Kilts are just as much a part of be

ing Scottish as the bagpipes and drums. In front of a castle scenery with towers and battlements – a replica of a Scottish castle – the artistes will present more and more facets of Scottish culture. The impressive sound of the bagpipes and drums has just boomed through the hall and gripped the people in the stands and in the next instant sentimental ballads full of yearning and depth create an exhilarating hush in the hall. The accompanying musicians are among the best that Scotland has to offer. For instance, among the bagpipe players and drummers there are many winners of international competitions and world champions and also the fingers of the Scottish master of the accordion fly over his keys. Nearly all of the participators join in regulary the world famous Edinburgh Tottoo Festival. Even the combination of traditional bagpipe playing and modern rock music succeeds when guitarists with their e-guitars turn it up all the way and the entire ensemble with their traditional instruments gradually join in. Scotland’s joyful and swinging dances spread a spirited and uninhibited party mood. In ever new formations, magnificent traditional costumes and outfits, the artistes move across the stage and lift each other with their enormous joy in the music and dance. And when in the evening mist, after a genuine canon salvo, the Scottish hymn “Highland Cathedral” resounds and the bagpipe players and drummers in their uniforms sweep along the aisles almost touching the audience, a breath of real Highland air wafts through the hall! You can obtain tickets at www.germantickets.de and from all the usual ticket offices.

Happy Burns Day to all our fans and friends. Our cast are very busy in Scotland at this time with celebrations all over Scotland. Over the last couple of days we have had 4 cast members entertaining on The Royal Yacht BRITANNIA. Stevie from Aceltica piping guests onboard and performing the address to the haggis. He is honoured to be the ships resident piper. Gregor our mc hosting and performing the selkirk grace, the immortal memory of Robert Burns and his party piece Holy Wi***es Prayer. 2 of our young drummers Aaron and Callum who are currently no1 and No2 world junior champion drummers performing a drum salute as the guests made their way to dinner in the state diningroom. A fine couple of nights was had by all.
