Today was the 257th Obersee Parkrun. The intrepid participants included guests from Beckenham, on the border of London and Kent, in the UK, from the Wanty Parkrun in the Netherlands and a couple from Hamburg, one of whom was visiting for the Arminia Bielefeld vs St Pauli game the night before, (Bielefeld were extremely lucky to get a point, in case anyone is interested). The weather also played its part, nice and sunny, but not too warm, and the rain, that was reported by the app on my phone, (possibly the worst weather app, in the world) never materialised.
A big thank you for the helpers, Manuela, who scanned the bar codes, Torben, who kept the time, Richard who handed out the bar codes, and Gordon who, among other things, was our tailwalker.
Heute fand der 257. Obersee Parkrun statt. Unter den tapferen Teilnehmern waren Gäste aus Beckenham an der Grenze zwischen London und Kent in Großbritannien, vom Wanty Parkrun in den Niederlanden und ein Paar aus Hamburg. Einer der beiden war wegen des Spiels Arminia Bielefeld gegen St. Pauli am Vorabend dort (Bielefeld hatte übrigens großes Glück, einen Punkt zu holen). Auch das Wetter spielte mit: schön sonnig, aber nicht zu warm. Der Regen, den meine Wetter-App (wahrscheinlich die schlechteste der Welt) angekündigt hatte, blieb aus. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an die Helfer: Manuela, die die Barcodes gescannt hat, Torben, der die Zeit gestoppt hat, Richard, der die Barcodes verteilt hat, und Gordon, der unter anderem als Schlussläufer fungierte.
