Berlin based collective and label with cosmopolitan roots. That is the spirit of Rise ! And there is also RISE MUSIC the record label.

Rise

There's an African proverb that says "if you want to go fast travel alone but if you want to go far go together". Rise was brought together through the love of African inspired electronic music and endless rhythms of the motherland. RISE is Inclusive, Rise is a way of thinking, Rise is all of us together, RISE is UNITY. While holding down a monthly residency event at Watergate Berlin and presenting the African house sound to the German techno capital, RISE has also managed to build a reputation by hosting showcases all around the globe. It is transforming the Rise message into a label and will feature release by our residents and our closest affiliates and Rise guests. It is aiming to build bridges and bringing people, artists, music and cultures closer together. RISE MUSIC is distributed by Muting The Noise. Further profiles:

200 of the right people. not a sea of phones...

We’ve been wanting to do this differently for a while now:

A SMALL CLUB FOR
THE RIGHT CROWD.

A night that is all about music,
the energy in the room
and people being present.

We call it THE ROOM.

At RISE / Watergate we’ve been playing Afro House long before most people in Europe knew about it. Before the hype was real.

We’re bringing back that feeling.

That’s why we don’t announce lineups.
This one is about THE ROOM.

If this is not for you, no hard feelings…

RISE PRESENTS THE ROOM.

SATURDAY, JULY 4TH
ZAZOU, BERLIN.

200 PEOPLE.
THAT’S THE WHOLE ROOM.
EARLY TICKETS COST LESS.

We need to tell you something…
For a while now we’ve been doing the bigger shows. Maaya, the international dates. We love them, and we’re not stopping.
But we’ve been missing something.

So we’re doing something different this time.
Something smaller. Closer. The kind of night RISE started from.
No big production. No long flyer.
Just a room, the right people, and a night that’s about being there.

More soon.
RISE presents The Room.

Th artists behind the brand new RISE release „Gudi Diop“

06/02/2026

The final chapter of RISE REFLECTIONS is here:
„Gudi Diop“ by .griot & is out now

This release is more than a collaboration. It’s a story of family, roots, and generations coming full circle.
Walter Griot reimagines the work of legendary Senegalese artist Wasis Diop — a lifelong connection shaped by shared history between Senegal and Berlin, carried into today’s dance floors.

From childhood memories to club culture, from heritage to future sound — “Gudi Diop” represents everything this series stands for.

We’re proud to close RISE REFLECTIONS with this deeply meaningful release.
