Disconnekt returns with it’s 4th release, showcasing the sound of the Berlin event series.
AOIFE kicks off the EP with ‘dirty dancin’, a heavy hitting, stripped-back minimal techno track. A deep distorted bass emerges from the depths, unfolding into a thunderous kick which dominates the low-end spectrum. Atmospheric sounds and sparse percussion intermittently appear and withdraw, constantly shifting the sonic environment, whilst remaining anchored by the unwavering kick.
EÒNAN takes us on an energetic voyage through a kaleidoscopic wall of sound in ‘Time To Shine’. A recurrent and addictive bass and a perpetually growing arpeggiator soaked in reverb, craft a mesmerising atmosphere. The relentless energy does not let up, with the sensation that you are travelling through a wormhole, fully encapsulated in a euphoric journey.
Lukr Range provides some high-impact, raw techno with ‘The Kiss’. A vigorous rolling bassline and a fast, pounding kick are sure to test the limit of even the most formidable sound system. Gritty industrial textures, robust percussion, and vocals shrouded in mystery, forge an intense and unyieldingly powerful dark ambience.
‘FF0FD0’ from TIKOA is a hypnotic techno track that sounds like an extraterrestrial transmission intercepted from the far reaches of the galaxy. A deep pulsating kick, glitchy hi-hats and a subtle synth generate a constant danceable groove. Trippy, spacey, otherworldly sounds organically flutter in and out, producing an immersive and disorienting auditory experience.
