The HYBRID DJ/LIVE set takes many of the ideas that Oliver Ho has explored, from the heavy 90s techno sounds, to the modern industrial beats, taking old and new, part DJ set, part live set. Taking the raw energy of his early work and fusing it with the modern sound design of recent years. The performance represents Oliver Ho in his authentic self, an artist in pursuit of a brutal electronic transcendental state.

“We become sound when we die” - Oliver Ho

The 40 track album explores the sonic history of Oliver Ho, the avenues and alleys, the dreams and obsessions, the result of 30 years of creative work, pushing and pulling at the edges of electronic music. From the early techno recorded under Olivers own name into the harsh broken beat sounds of early Veil, into the pure industrial experimentalism of Zov Zov, co produced by Tommy Gillard. Raudive pursues an acid minimalism, Broken English Club fuses industrial techno with heavy synth explorations, Slow White Fall pushes deeper into heavy post-rock and No Detail has a trashy lo-fi drum machine punk identity. These many visions and ideas cement Oliver as an artist devoted to a diverse range of expression while maintaining a singular vision to find some kind of transcendental state though distorted sound, to find a place that vibrates with a hypnotic pressure, the pure violence of existence.
