Anew has begun. ✨

Yesterday • 9 August 2026, at 18:30 in Berlin.

We crossed the water together, towards the houseboat, the horizon and an evening beneath the open Berlin sky.

There was music, sunset, nature and the simple joy of being together. But this gathering carried a meaning beyond the beauty of the moment.

After twelve years of gathering, moving and creating together, Anew was no longer something waiting to begin. It became real through the people who joined us, the time we shared and the feeling we created together.

A new movement shaped by everything that came before ~and by everyone who will carry it forward with us.

As darkness settled over Berlin, we crossed the water once more. The same boat, a different sky ~and something had already shifted.

Thank you to everyone who made this first crossing with us. We felt its meaning together.

From one crossing to the next: this Sunday, 16 August, we return to the water for KULÜP.

SUNDAZE / Anew

Our next beginning, together.

SUNDAZE began in 2014. As it moved from Istanbul to Beirut, Berlin, Paris and Mexico City, it ripened over time~like a fruit~through the participation of thousands of people.

Everyone who brought their fruit, shared their music, energy and dance, created space and chose to become part of something together helped shape it.

After 2020, I began pursuing another question:

How can the connections that begin at physical gatherings continue wherever we are in the world? How can technology extend these relationships without replacing the physical world?

From these questions came new formats, our growing digital world and the SUNDAZE app, which we will share very soon.

Two months ago, through The Fruitful Map, we asked our network of tens of thousands:

Where in the world are we?

Although we are now spread across the world, we remain just as willing to reconnect and meet again.

I don’t want us to enter this next movement through an announcement made only from behind a screen. I want us to enter it by gathering.

On 9 August, thirty of us will meet on .space terrace at Rummelsburger See. Accompanied by music, we will speak, listen to one another and watch the day set together.

I will share where SUNDAZE has come from, what we have been building and what comes next. More importantly, we will consider how we can shape it together.

2025 was a year of refining for Sundaze.
Refining how we gather.

In December, on the water in Berlin, Refining took shape

both as a new event series and as a symbol of Sundaze itself entering a quieter, clearer phase.

The moment was shaped by the live performance of

As we move into 2026, Sundaze unfolds through new event formats and the app.
bringing us closer to ourselves,
then to one another,
and back into the collective.

This REELS is a fragment of that transition.
