WORDFEST is a celebration of the written word in all it's wonderful forms. From graphic novels to poetry, from comic books to scriptwriting and everything in between. This event has it all and everybody is welcome.

By Day: Opens at Noon.
A full book fair with 25+ Berlin based writers displaying, discussing and selling their works. Varying in topic and style, length and form.
A Tedx style talk from Indieberlin co/chief editor Noel Maurice, about the independent art in Berlin, the world at large and his brand new Novel.
A panel discussion with top independent writers discussing the world of getting published in an Amazon age and how best to deal with modern professional writing.
24hour cinema. Some of Berlins very best filmmakers have come together to present...Non-Stop cinema. Short films and clips based around the subject of words, have been put together in one large loop. Every time you visit you will see a variety of different film makers showing different stories. So, stay a while, enjoy some pop corn and take it all in.
Kids Corner. (Kids come in for free) Special events for smaller word fans...including Readings from children's authors, a clown show, face painting plus food and drink and other special activities.
Photo projections and paintings from Berlin based artists exhibited throughout the entire space.

Our Indie music and spoken word stage will be running all day for your entertainment. Featuring some of the very best music and spoken word that Berlin has to offer.
At the venue there is also a full cafe and bar plus special food trucks brought in for this event to cater to every pallet.
By Night: Main Stage opens at 8pm.
Some of the very best spoken word artists in Berlin are coming together to give you the kind of show that has never been seen before. Nicole Ratjen, Ryan Nash, Kevin Groen, Lady Gaby, Jessie James LaFleur and Robert Grant will deliver 'WORD' at it's very best.
Mixing slam, beat, classic and punk, these performers will take you on a ride through every form, style and type of spoken word there is and will give you the chance to see poetry and spoken word differently.
Added to this, we have two live bands on the main stage.
Berlin shooting stars I-Taki Maki will be doing an extended set. I-Taki Maki is an Italian Alt-Indie Duo, formed in 2012, based in Berlin since July 2015. The group consists of Go-Mimmi-Go (vocals, drums, percussions & melodica) & strAw (vocals, guitars & harmonica).Their music features a melding of alternative rock, slowcore and post-punk influences, typified by minimal arrangement and composition, warm voices, deep emotional sound. Their last fourth album, “A Place to Leave”, has been released at the beginning of January 2018. http://www.itakimaki.com
And we have soul & groove with the one and only Ray Mann. Ray's intimate, soulful voice and uniquely percussive, minimal guitar playing have been showcased in two studio albums with his band The Ray Mann Three, two live albums, and a series of self-produced music videos and online audience collaboration. http://www.ray-mann.com
As part of the main stage we also Burlesque with Felicity Felicis who is THE Rock ‘n’ Roll showgirl. She combines classic burlesque bump'n'grind with rock from around the eras. Felicity brings high energy to the stage, a hedonistic affair, always leaving the audience wanting more. Whether she’s playing with fire or stripping her way into a whirlwind, she truly is a force of nature who has taken the scene by storm.’
