💋 25/07: THE NO GIRLS 💋

introducing our next FCP members:
formed in berlin in 2023, the no girls are the city’s hottest and (as of yet...) least known post-punk/art-rock outfit. combining anxiety-fuelled, observational lyrics with intricate synth hooks and distinctively skewed guitar riffs, the no girls build a sonic world that is geometric, sprawling, and wry.

refusing to behave, the no girls capture the dissenting voice of the metamodern generation, giving the finger to bigots, while of course wearing the most fabulous frock.

this is the no girls.
together: WE SAY NO!

THE “F**K CORPORATE PRIDE” PARTY: JULY 25

a new party is in town…

as corporations commodify and profit off of q***r culture during pride season, the FCP believe that pride at its core is a time for political collectivism.

this pride, the FCP invite you to their first party assembly: an alternative to corporate pride processions. MC’d by nosmo king () + with an eclectic mix of live music from some of berlin’s hottest artists, , + , we will be convening at from 19:00 on the friday (25 july) of pride weekend.

half of all profits raised from this event will be donated both towards gofundme’s of families in gaza + .de, who provide financial and legal support to those in germany facing repression for their commitment to the palestinian cause.

let’s dance, let’s get sweaty,
let’s have fun, let’s fundraise,
let’s VOTE FCP!

28/5 SHORT FILM SCREENING: SILVER CARLSSON

for our next film screening event we are looking forward to Silver Carlsson joining us to showcase two of their films: unreadable future (2022, 39:20), and readable presence: learning from ting (2024, 23:54). between the films, there will be a discussion between carlsson and sin’s chilli carney, and after there will be a Q&A for you (yes, you!) to ask your questions.

Here's a bit about the films:

Unreadable Future is an essay film taking the format of an imaginary video letter to a future where all letter systems (including the Latin alphabet) has ceased to exist. The narrator, presenting footage from diverse sources, dwells upon questions of the power of alphabetic representation, the history of the Greek alphabet and the taxonomy of Atlantic hurricanes.

Unreadable Presence Learning From Ting: By conversing with people in their proximity, the film's narrator explores the consequences of potentially having been hypnotised in a Berlin club. The dialogues – taking place in spaces where the narrator live their everyday life: a café, a church, a library – revolve around the blurry boundaries between art and everything else, the sacred and the profane, the self and its representations. The trajectory of the narrator is also a quest for a q***r self and the establishment of new kinships.
