Dear Odyssee Freaks,

it is with great disappointment that we have to inform you that Odyssee 2025 will not be taking place.

We had been so excited and put countless hours into planning. However, despite all our efforts and the approvals already granted by the authorities, we have now received the final location-cancellation from BIM.

We are deeply saddened that we cannot share better news with you and want to thank you for your understanding, patience, and positive support over the past months.

Odyssee is a passion project for all of us, so we hope to celebrate New Year´s Eve with you again on a new journey in the near future.

mit großer Enttäuschung müssen wir Euch mitteilen, dass die Odyssee 2025 leider nicht stattfinden kann.

Wir hatten uns so sehr auf dieses Jahr gefreut und unzählige Stunden in die Planung gesteckt. Doch trotz aller Bemühungen und der bereits erteilten Genehmigungen durch die Behörden, haben wir nun von der BIM die finale Location-Absage erhalten.

Wir sind unendlich traurig, Euch keine bessere Nachricht überbringen zu können und bedanken uns für euer Verständnis, eure Geduld und euren positiven Zuspruch in den vergangenen Monaten.

Dear Odyssee Freaks,

We know you’ve been wondering about the status of the festival – and we want to give you an honest update. Unfortunately, there is still no definitive clarity.

As many of you know, the SEZ was taken over by BIM (Berlin Real Estate Management) in October. BIM had made a public announcement that they would fulfill existing contracts with SEZ users. Since then, we have been working hard to celebrate New Year's Eve with you as planned. We’ve obtained all the necessary official permits – from fire safety to environmental agency. However, we have not yet received a written confirmation from BIM, which is necessary for Odyssee 2025 to take place in the SEZ.

Since weeks, we’ve been facing new requirements, providing documents, attending on-site meetings, and trying to stay flexible. But every time, new reviews and unresolved questions have arisen, delaying the process.

Your Right to Planning Certainty:
We understand that time is running out for you - just as it is for us. That’s why we’ve asked SEE-Tickets to immediately process all ticket refund requests without question. If you’d like to return your ticket, you can do so at any time.

If the Odyssee 2025 has to be canceled, all tickets will, of course, be automatically refunded.

Our Promise to You:
We’re not giving up. We are still fighting for Odyssee 2025. But we also have to remain realistic: Time is short, and without a swift decision from BIM, it may no longer be realistic to continue with our planning.

Liebe Odyssee Freaks,

Wir wissen, dass ihr euch fragt, wie es um das Festival steht – und wir möchten euch ein ehrliches Update geben. Leider gibt es immer noch keine endgültige Klarheit.

Wie viele von euch wissen, wurde das SEZ im Oktober von der BIM (Berliner Immobilienmanagement GmbH) übernommen. Die BIM hatte medienwirksam angekündigt, die laufenden Verträge mit den Nutzern des SEZ noch zu Ende zu führen. Seitdem arbeiten wir intensiv daran, die Odyssee wie geplant durchzuführen. Wir haben inzwischen alle behördlichen Genehmigungen erhalten - von Brandschutz bis Umweltamt. Dennoch haben wir bisher keine schriftliche Zusage von der BIM, die für die finale Umsetzung im SEZ notwendig ist.

Seit Wochen stellen wir uns neuen Anforderungen, liefern Dokumente, nehmen an Ortsterminen teil und versuchen, flexibel zu bleiben. Doch jedes Mal gibt es neue Prüfungen und offene Fragen, die den Prozess verzögern.

Euer Recht auf Planungssicherheit:
Wir verstehen, dass euch die Zeit davonläuft - uns leider auch. Deshalb haben wir SEE-Tickets gebeten, ab sofort alle Ticket-Rückgabe-Anfragen kommentarlos zu erstatten. Solltet ihr euer Ticket zurückgeben wollen, könnt ihr dies jederzeit tun.

Sollte die Odyssee 2025 abgesagt werden müssen, werden selbstverständlich alle Tickets automatisch erstattet.

Unser Versprechen an euch:
Wir geben nicht auf. Noch kämpfen wir für die Odyssee 2025. Aber wir müssen auch realistisch bleiben, die Zeit wird knapp und ohne eine schnelle Entscheidung der BIM kann die Durchführung nicht mehr gewährleistet werden.

Wir danken euch fĂĽr euer Vertrauen, eure Geduld und eure UnterstĂĽtzung. Sobald es Neuigkeiten gibt, erfahrt ihr sie zuerst.

Dear Odyssee Freaks,

we'd like to inform you about the past few weeks, which have been a real roller coaster ride for us!

As you might have heard, the SEZ was cleared out in October with quite a bit of media buzz, and the Berlin Real Estate Company (BIM) has taken over the building. For us, this meant that our previous arrangement with the former owner is on hold.

There was some initial good news, though. The BIM has assured the existing tenants they can stay for now, and we also reached out to them directly. Our first meeting was brief but friendly, and we were hopeful that things would develop positively. But then we had to exercise some patience, the new management needed time to get organized, plus it’s been vacation season here in Germany. So, a quick decision wasn’t looking likely.

Because of that, we also started looking into alternative locations, touring some very promising spaces and negotiating with potential partners. But it became clear that, with so little time left, securing a suitable location that meets the spirit of Odyssee and navigating the necessary permit processes would be nearly impossible.

Meanwhile, we continued to work hard on the permits for a potential Odyssee at the SEZ. We’re now very close to the finish line and hopeful about overcoming the final hurdle. And just today, we received an invitation from BIM for an on-site meeting to discuss possible spaces for Odyssee. So things are moving!

We know New Year’s Eve is only a few weeks away, and normally we’re not fans of talking about things before they’re fully set. But in this case, we wanted to let you know right away: Chances are looking good, and we’re staying on it for you!

Please keep your fingers crossed that all the last pieces fall into place, and we’ll be in touch soon with even more good news!
