WRAA was founded in 2012. We are the governing body of Afghan surfing.

We are the Wave Riders Association of Afghanistan – WRAA
WRAA was founded in 2012. Our main guidelines are:

1. Serving as a platform for all Afghan Wave Riders to share their joy in this amazing sport.

2. Introducing surfing to all the potential Afghan Wave Riders who have not had a chance to experience this sport yet.

3. Presenting the beauty of Afghanistan and it's people to the world by taking part in the international surfing community. These are some of our short and long term goals:

• Join the ISA.
• host the Afghan national championships.
• participate in the ISA world surfing games.
• establish a youth national Team.
• find an undiscovered spot and name it: "New Kabul"
• build a wavepark in Afghanistan. We kindly invite you to support us and to become a part of our circle of friends.
