A big Farewell to Glen from your Fans and Friends in Berlin.❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 ❤️Thanks to all who sang their hearts out last night to mourn our loss and celebrate the life of a Great.

While on screen we celebrated Glen's music and film work, in the Foyer bars at Babylon a multitude including Kellie O'Neill, Hendrik Goersch, Sebastian Hoch, Scott and Lila sang to the heavens.👏

Thanks to all who came, Irish Film Berlin tix proceeds will go to Dublin Simon Community.👏

As a tribute to Glen Hansard, who we so sadly lost last week, we are screening ONCE and The Commitments on Friday 7th August at Babylon film theatre.

There will also be an informal free Music Session or Busk in memory of Glen. Starting after ONCE at ca. 9pm.

We are putting a call out to Musicians and Singers to join a music session at Babylon Foyer Bar area.

Entry to Babylon is with a film tix for either of the films.

We will have a collection bucket for the homeless charity Dublin Simon Community and all IFB screening proceeds will go to Simon Community that Glen regularly busked for.

WINNER - 2026 Audience Award ! 🏆
Dear audience, you watched, you laughed and you voted for your winner of this year’s Short
category 🏆🏆🗳️

Drumroll 🥁🥁The audience award goes to “Robin in the Hood” by Kristen Vollset. This outstanding film combines documentary, fiction and musical to create a modern version of the old ballad of Robin Hood.

We had 8 shorts in this year’s festival and they showcased the talent across different genres
and types of filmmaking.

На околицях Одеси стоїть санаторій «Куяльник» — занедбаний курорт радянської доби, де люди шукають зцілення, любов і відновлення. Протягом одного літа гості проходять грязьові процедури та електротерапію — навіть тоді, коли війна змінює життя за стінами санаторію.

Tonight at we will screen a quiet, deeply moving documentary by Gar O’Rourke — a gentle portrait of humanity and hope in uncertain times.

On the outskirts of Odesa stands the Kuyalnik Sanatorium, a faded Soviet-era resort where people come seeking healing, love, and renewal. Over the course of one summer, guests undergo mud treatments and electrotherapy — even as the war reshapes life beyond the sanatorium walls.

An oasis of calm. A space for connection. A reminder of human resilience.
