Men Under Pressure - The Conversation Continues

At this year’s African Book Festival Berlin Bisi Alimi was in conversation with JJ Bola and Fikri Anıl Altıntaş on men’s power, privilege and accountability. The room was packed and emotions ran high on stage and in the audience. Obviously, there was a need to extend the conversation.

The guys need to talk and we say: Let them!

Third Fit Check ❤️‍🔥

Honestly, we could have stopped every single person this time, because the level of style was absolutely through the roof.

The African Book Festival is a reminder that literature has never existed in a vacuum. It lives through people, culture, creativity, representation, community, and self-expression. The stories are on the pages, but they’re also in the way we show up, connect, celebrate, and see ourselves reflected in one another.

Day 3 was proof that books and culture don’t just belong together, they’ve always been intertwined.
