Velkým tématem poslední doby je Írán. Země s bohatou kulturou a letos z ní trochu ochutnáme díky jedinečnému projektu Golestan Vibes.
Jde o hudební a taneční projekt propojující íránské umělce žijící dlouhodobě v exilu v ČR s českými umělci, kteří se věnují persko-íránské kultuře, hudbě a tanci. Poprvé se spolupráce pod tímto názvem uskutečnila už v roce 2016 v Praze večerním programem Golestan I., Golestan II. (2017). Večerní program Golestan III. byl i součástí pražského festivalu blízko-východní kultury „Nad Prahou půlměsíc“ ředitelky Lucie Němečkové v roce 2024.
Na festivalu Eastern Tunes se představí program folklórních i moderních známých íránských písní i klasické íránské perkuse a rytmická sólová hudba ve spojení s tancem. Z íránských tanců uvidíte klasický perský tanec, moderní popové Baba Karam (70.léta), Bandárí (bandar = přístav) - tanec od Perského zálivu a sufijský dervišský tanec na závěr.
Golestan Vibes:
Íránská zpěvačka Queen Saliteh, která se věnuje mnoha žánrům, hraje na violu a perkuse.
Petr Mastroiany perkusista , zvukový experimentátor , performer a hudební žánrový chameleon z Plzně . Na rámové a pohárové bubny hraje tradičně i netradičně od roku 2000.
Tanečnice a učitelka tance Tereza Šírín, studentka Íránistiky a perštiny na FFUK, která se perskému a íránským tancům věnuje od roku 2006. Na festivalu Eastern Tunes sólově vystupovala v roce 2024.
One of the biggest topics in the world right now is Iran — a country with a rich and fascinating culture. This year, we’ll get to experience a glimpse of it through the unique project Golestan Vibes.
Golestan Vibes is a music and dance project connecting Iranian artists living in long-term exile in the Czech Republic with Czech artists devoted to Persian-Iranian culture, music, and dance. The collaboration first appeared in Prague in 2016 with the evening program Golestan I., followed by Golestan II. in 2017. Golestan III. later became part of the Prague Middle Eastern culture festival Half Moon Over Prague in 2024.
At this year’s Eastern Tunes festival, Golestan Vibes will present a vibrant mix of traditional folklore, modern Iranian songs, classical Persian percussion, and rhythmic solo performances combined with dance. Audiences can look forward to classical Persian dance, the energetic pop-style Baba Karam from the 1970s, the lively southern Bandari dance from the Persian Gulf region, and a mesmerizing Sufi dervish dance finale.
Golestan Vibes performers
Queen Saliteh — Iranian singer and multi-genre artist performing vocals, viola, and percussion.
Petr Mastroiany — percussionist, sound experimenter, performer, and musical chameleon from Pilsen, exploring both traditional and unconventional approaches to frame and goblet drums since 2000.
Tereza Šírín — dancer and dance teacher, student of Iranian Studies and Persian language at Charles University, dedicated to Persian and Iranian dance since 2006. She performed at the festival in 2024.
