Following her acclaimed performances at the Czech Pavilion at Expo2025 大阪・関西万博 in June 2025, Prague-based singer-songwriter Bára Zmeková is coming back to Japan with her trio!

🤩Joined by special guest musicians in each city, the trio presents new songs alongside selected works, blending folk, jazz and classical influences with subtle electronics into an intimate and emotionally powerful live experience 🎹🎸🎻🪗🥁

The Czech participation at EXPO 2025 entered into a key partnership with , a leading Czech security and telecommunications company known as the developer of the world’s first IP intercom. 💙

Through this collaboration, the Czech National Pavilion represented the best of Czech innovation not only in its architecture but also in its smart functionality. equipped 50 doors across the pavilion’s administrative and shared spaces with state-of-the-art access control units – providing secure and convenient entry for both staff and visitors using only their mobile phones. 💪🏻

The company also supplied intercom systems for the pavilion’s main entrances and service areas, ensuring seamless communication and safety while preserving the minimalist glass-and-wood design of the building. ✨

Today marks three months since the Czech National Day at EXPO 2025 Osaka – a celebration that filled the grounds of Yumeshima Island with the unmistakable spirit of Czech creativity, culture, and tradition. 💙

The day was opened by President Petr Pavel and Princess Takamado of Japan, following the Czech and Japanese national anthems performed by the Czech Radio Children’s Choir. ✨

In his address, President Pavel highlighted EXPO as “a showcase of cutting-edge technology, exceptional architecture, and national identities – but above all, a place where cultures meet to imagine the future together.” He reflected on this year’s theme, Designing Future Society for Our Lives, as both simple and deeply ambitious: “We all wish to live in a world that is safe, healthy, and open to new opportunities. But the path to such a world requires imagination, courage, and collaboration across continents, cultures, and disciplines.” 💪🏻

Visitors to the Czech Pavilion, designed by Apropos Architects, experienced a transparent structure inspired by the Czech Pavilion from EXPO 1970 in Osaka – a symbol of continuity, creativity, and connection. The celebration coincided with the 165th anniversary of Alfons Mucha’s birth, with his grandson John Mucha among the guests, underscoring the pavilion’s artistic and cultural depth. 🤗

Throughout the day, Czech artists brought the stage to life with music, dance, and emotion – from classical performances to folk traditions and stories of Czech craftsmanship. President Pavel praised the programme’s extraordinary quality and the warm response from Japanese audiences. 🤭

As the lights dim and the doors close, we carry with us countless moments of connection, inspiration, and pride. The end of EXPO25 is not a farewell; it is the beginning of new stories we are ready to tell. 📖

Each uniform combines history, craftsmanship and contemporary design. 🌏

Jan Société drew inspiration from traditional Czech workwear and reinterpreted it through Japanese design sensibilities. Details such as the linden leaf motif, origami-inspired prints and references to Czech glassmaking create a thoughtful connection between two cultures. 💡

Jan Société at EXPO 2025:
The brand designed the official uniforms for all staff and management of the Czech National Pavilion at . The collection reflects a dialogue between Czech work overalls and Japanese workwear culture, merging a strong Czech identity with Japanese aesthetics and sustainable, functional design. 🌿

The collection includes bomber jackets, shirts, T-shirts, trousers and aprons, complemented by a limited edition of Prestige x Jan sneakers and a scarf featuring the Pavilion’s mascot, René. Light sand tones are worn by hosts and guides, while blue is used for restaurant staff. 👕

Japanese visitors had the opportunity to taste the iconic Czech lager poured just the way it should be – with precision and care. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing their appreciation for the balance of bitterness and sweetness and the perfect foam that defines Pilsner Urquell. 💪🏻

We are proud to have shared this legendary beer with our Japanese friends, proving once again that Czech craftsmanship can connect people, cultures, and traditions, one pour at a time.

Walking through the Spiral Pavilion, visitors experienced Czech culture in a way that was both immersive and tangible. Every step revealed light filtering through the Bohemian glass, the warmth of the wooden CLT panels, and the architectural beauty that was designed to awaken the senses.

Behind the stunning aesthetics stood Daisue Construction, whose hands-on work turned abstract design concepts into physical reality. Every curve, every intersection in the pavilion was a result of months of collaboration – a shared dedication to craftsmanship, and the belief that architecture can connect not just minds, but hearts as well. 🌿

Color tones help distinguish roles: soft sand for hosts and guides, deep blue for restaurant staff. Jan Société designed each uniform to support clarity and comfort, ensuring that visitors can easily recognize staff and navigate the Pavilion naturally. 🇯🇵
