Představujeme Vám Chito’s Gvino!
The craft winery Chito’s Gvino appeared in 2017. Its founder and winemaker, Nino Chitoshvili, a native of Tbilisi, is a pianist by education. She came to winemaking as a result of her love for wine, philosophy, communication, and art in general. Moreover, Nino is convinced that the emotional response from the contact with wine better harmonizes with her inner world than music. For this reason, eight years ago, the first qvevris were buried in the courtyard of her house. Nino is an advocate of natural, organic winemaking. During the fermentation, she does not use cultured yeast, and the wine is not filtered. All wines only undergo natural vinification in qvevri for 7-9 months. All wines are produced only from grapes from the company’s own vineyards, which are located in Kakheti, in the village of Vachnadziani. This micro-zone of Mukuzani is ideal for producing both Saperavi and amber wines. White grape varieties include Rkatsiteli, Mtsvane, Kisi, and Khikhvi. Only organic preparations are used for vineyard care, and the natural diversity of flora characteristic of this terroir is cultivated. And only methods characteristic of the biodynamic concept of communication with nature are applied in winemaking.
Chito’s Gvino is a member of the Georgian Association of Organic Winemaking. The company produces up to 10,000 bottles per year, and its wine is exported to the United States, France, Denmark, Israel, and Latvia. Since 2024, we have been distributing Chito’s Gvino to the Czech Republic and have proudly represented Nino’s wine in restaurants and bars across Brno and Prague.
