FCI World Championship in Lure Coursing Planned for 2026 – Denmark Leading the Way in International Cooperation!
It looks like there will indeed be a FCI World Coursing Championship (WCC) in 2026! We’re only waiting for one final permit, which we expect to receive by the end of August 2025 – and all signs point to success.
Denmark – specifically Myndeklubben, The Danish Sighthound Club – has taken the initiative to host this international event, which is now being planned in close cooperation with several other countries. While Denmark may not have the size to manage an event of this scale on its own, we have something even more valuable: an incredible venue for the competition – and strong partners from across Europe.
📅 WCC 2026 will take place in Denmark(Nørresundby) from August 20–23, and it promises to be a highlight on the year’s lure coursing calendar.
United We Achieve More!
It is with great joy – though not much surprise – that we can announce that all the countries we reached out to have said yes to helping. WCC 2026 is shaping up to be a truly international team effort:
• Denmark will be responsible for the grounds and facilities.
• A team from the Netherlands, Sweden, and the Czech Republic will each manage one of the three parcours
• A team from Finland will handle the secretariat using the trusted coursing24.eu software.
In addition, we will need many volunteers – for everything from setting up the site to handling waste, cleaning toilets, supporting the campsite, and more. Every helping hand counts! We need you.
A New Chapter in organizing a FCI WCC
We hope this way of organizing WCC – with countries working hand-in-hand – will inspire others to do the same in the future. Our vision is clear: to ensure there is a FCI WCC every single year, strengthened by cross-border collaboration.

Breaking News: WCC i Lure Coursing Planlagt til 2026 – Danmark i Spidsen for Internationalt Samarbejde!
Det ser ud til, at der alligevel bliver et World Coursing Championship (WCC) i 2026! Vi mangler kun én sidste tilladelse, som vi forventer at få på plads i slutningen af august 2025 – og alt tyder på, at det lykkes.
Danmark – nærmere bestemt Den Danske Myndeklub – har taget initiativet til at være vært for denne internationale begivenhed, som nu planlægges i tæt samarbejde med flere lande. Selvom Danmark ikke har den nødvendige størrelse til at stå alene med hele arrangementet, har vi noget endnu vigtigere: et fantastisk sted, hvor konkurrencen kan finde sted – og stærke samarbejdspartnere fra hele Europa.
WCC 2026 afholdes i Danmark (Nørresundby) den 20.–23. august, og bliver et højdepunkt i årets lure coursing-kalender.
Sammen løfter vi det!
Det er med stor glæde – men ikke overraskelse – at vi kan meddele, at alle adspurgte lande har sagt ja til at hjælpe. WCC 2026 bliver en sand international kraftpræstation:
• Danmark vil være ansvarlig for området og faciliteterne.
• Et team fra Holland, Sverige og Tjekkiet tager ansvar for hver deres bane.
• Et team fra Finland står for sekretariatet og anvender den gennemprøvede coursing24.eu-software.
Derudover har vi brug for mange frivillige – både til opbygning af pladsen og til praktiske opgaver som affaldshåndtering, rengøring af toiletter, hjælp på campingpladsen m.m. Alle kræfter tæller!
Et nyt kapitel for WCC
Vi håber, at denne måde at afholde WCC på – med lande, der løfter i flok – kan inspirere andre i fremtiden. Vores mål er klart: Et WCC hvert eneste år, med styrket samarbejde på tværs af grænser.
