Les presentamos el LINE UP FINAL de esta sexta edición del Festival de la Candela.

Este 2026 es un año muy especial: se cumplen 10 años desde que hicimos la primera edición. Tuvimos que parar por diversos temas personales, pero cuando decidimos regresar en 2023 le dimos este rumbo nuevo que hoy es nuestra bandera: un festival paisa de música extrema, enfocado en el brutal death… una escena pequeña pero que siempre ha sido muy respetada en el país y a nivel mundial, donde Colombia ha sido referente.

Esperamos que este cartel sea de su completo agrado.

Agradecemos a todas las bandas, sellos, fans, emprendimientos y a todos los que creen en nosotros.

We present to you the FINAL LINE UP of this sixth edition of Festival de la Candela.

2026 is a very special year: it marks 10 years since we did the first edition. We had to stop due to various personal reasons, but when we decided to return in 2023 we gave it this new direction that today is our flag: a paisa festival of extreme music, focused on brutal death… a small scene that has always been highly respected in the country and worldwide, where Colombia has been a referent.

We hope this lineup is to your complete liking.

We thank all the bands, labels, fans, projects and everyone who believes in us.

Nuestro noveno y último anuncio de este VI Festival de la Candela, y el segundo acto local. De esta manera cerramos con broche de oro nuestro cartel para este año:

SAAD [SAAD]
[Death Grind] 🇨🇴 Oriente Antioqueño / Medellín

Con integrantes del Oriente Antioqueño y Medellín, SAAD llega con una descarga intensa y directa que construye un estilo propio dentro del death grind. Riffs disonantes, velocidad, voces extremas y cambios inesperados dan identidad a cada canción, sin caer en fórmulas.

Su sonido es crudo, visceral y caótico, con una fuerte intención compositiva. Actualmente promocionan su álbum Mist Coalition y trabajan en material para su segundo trabajo. Con un nuevo baterista, la banda gana aún más agresividad en el escenario.

Llegan al Festival de la Candela listos para imponer su propuesta y dejar una marca clara.

Our ninth and final announcement of this VI Festival de la Candela, and the second local act. This is how we close our lineup for this year with a golden finish:

SAAD [SAAD]
[Death Grind] 🇨🇴 Oriente Antioqueño / Medellín

With members from Oriente Antioqueño and Medellín, SAAD arrives with an intense and direct assault that builds their own style within death grind. Dissonant riffs, speed, extreme vocals and unexpected changes give each song its own identity, avoiding simple formulas.

Their sound is raw, visceral and chaotic, with a strong compositional intent. They are currently promoting their album Mist Coalition and working on material for their second release. With a new drummer, the band gains even more aggression on stage.

They arrive at Festival de la Candela ready to impose their proposal and leave a clear mark.

Nuestro octavo anuncio y la primera banda local de este VI Festival de la Candela:

UNDERGRAVE [Undergrave]
[Brutal Death Metal] 🇨🇴 Medellín

Nacida a principios de 2004 en Medellín, Undergrave se forjó como una de las fuerzas más agresivas del brutal death metal local. Compartieron escenario con bandas como Putrid Pile y Misery Index en diferentes festivales y eventos del país.

Tras una pausa iniciada en 2012, la banda retoma actividad en 2025 con renovadas energías y una visión clara. Actualmente trabajan en la composición y producción de su primer álbum de larga duración.

Our eighth announcement and the first local band of this VI Festival de la Candela:

UNDERGRAVE [Undergrave]
[Brutal Death Metal] 🇨🇴 Medellín

Born in early 2004 in Medellín, Undergrave forged itself as one of the most aggressive forces of the local brutal death metal scene. They shared stages with bands like Putrid Pile and Misery Index at various festivals and events across the country.

After a pause that began in 2012, the band returns in 2025 with renewed energy and a clear vision. They are currently working on the composition and production of their first full-length album.

POSTMORTEM [Postmortem Colombia]
[Brutal Death Grind] 🇨🇴 Girardot

Fundada en febrero de 2002 en Girardot, Cundinamarca, esta agrupación de brutal death grind acumula más de dos décadas de trayectoria nacional e internacional. Han recorrido escenarios en Bogotá, Medellín, Barranquilla, Ibagué, Pereira, Armenia, Pasto y más, además de giras por Ecuador, Perú y Chile.

Cuentan con dos álbumes de larga duración: Cesárea sin anestesia y Velando la cabeza. Actualmente trabajan en su tercer full-length Brindando con la maldad.

Sus integrantes actuales son Gabriel Luna (voz y guitarra) y Álvaro Arias (batería).

[Brutal Death Grind] 🇨🇴 Girardot

Founded in February 2002 in Girardot, Cundinamarca, this brutal death grind act has more than two decades of national and international trajectory. They have played stages in Bogotá, Medellín, Barranquilla, Ibagué, Pereira, Armenia, Pasto and beyond, plus tours through Ecuador, Peru and Chile.

They have two full-length albums: Cesárea sin anestesia and Velando la cabeza. Currently they are working on their third full-length Brindando con la maldad.

Current members are Gabriel Luna (vocals & guitar) and Álvaro Arias (drums).

Formed in Pereira in 2009, this brutal death metal machine returned after a period of inactivity with a consolidated lineup and an even more extreme sound.

In 2023 they released the EP Museum of Death and later presented their debut album Bursting From The Flesh For Malevolent Exaltation, reaffirming their proposal with aggressive compositions, solid technique and influences from classic bands of the genre such as Dying Fetus, Suffocation and Dehumanized.

They are the second dose of brutality that the Eje Cafetero brings to this VI Festival de la Candela.

IMPURE FAITH [IMPURE FAITH ⛧]
[Brutal Death Metal] 🇨🇴 Armenia

Formada en 2006 por su guitarrista Andrés Zapata en Armenia, esta máquina mezcla rápidos blastbeats, demoledores cortes slam, voces guturales y líricas caóticas y esotéricas.

Con músicos provenientes de otras bandas fuertes de la escena nacional, el proyecto se consolida como una agrupación llena de talento. Su primer álbum Revelation Of Exodus (2018) bajo el sello ruso Coyote Records los catapultó a los mejores escenarios del país.

Este año vuelven a Medellín a presentar su nuevo trabajo Infected by Evil Manifestation, que será lanzado bajo el sello estadounidense New Standard Elite. En nuestro festival y nuestra ciudad, donde los acogemos como su segunda casa, repiten con nosotros después de haber participado en la IV versión. Son parte de la dosis de brutalidad que el Eje Cafetero siempre aporta a nuestro festival.

Our fourth announcement for this VI Festival de la Candela is:

IMPURE FAITH [IMPURE FAITH ⛧]
[Brutal Death Metal] 🇨🇴 Armenia

Formed in 2006 by guitarist Andrés Zapata in Armenia, this machine mixes fast blastbeats, crushing slam cuts, guttural vocals and chaotic, esoteric lyrics.

With musicians coming from other strong bands of the national scene, the project stands as a true force full of talent. Their debut Revelation Of Exodus (2018) under the Russian label Coyote Records catapulted them to the best stages in the country.

This year they return to Medellín to present their new full-length Infected by Evil Manifestation, which will be released through US label New Standard Elite. In our festival and our city, where we welcome them as their second home, they repeat with us after playing the IV edition. They are part of the dose of brutality that the Eje Cafetero always brings to our festival.
