China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF) is reputed as “China’s No. 1 Science and Technology Show”. First held in 1999, the annual event creates a valuable platform for the exchange of information and practices in the fields of science, technology and economic development, by gathering hi-tech companies and institutions from China and all over the world. Taking place in China’s southern financial city of Shenzhe
n, CHTF is jointly hosted by China’s Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Science & Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Agriculture, State Intellectual Property Office, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Shenzhen Municipal Government. The fair not only shows innovations & products, but also presents activities such as high-level forums and investment promotions, focusing on the latest technologies in areas including energy conservation, environmental protection, new generation of information technologies, biology, high-end equipment manufacturing, new energy & materials and new energy vehicles, etc. Each year, CHTF attracts delegations from major universities and all 31 provinces of China, as well as leading companies and organizations, including Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, Siemens , SAP, Tencent, Huawei and BYD from more than 50 countries.
