A -based startup is developing a new heavy-lift reusable rocket that could reshape China's private space sector.
FSTSpace's Qitian 2 is designed to stand 88 meters tall, use nine engines in its first stage and carry 33 tons to low-Earth orbit. The rocket, which is built with stainless steel and planned for up to nine relaunches, is intended to reduce launch costs and support growing commercial demand.
The company is aiming for a 2028 debut flight, and full system testing is expected this year.
