🎗 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎗
Breast cancer remains the leading cancer among women in Cameroon, with over 4,200 new cases and more than 2,200 deaths each year (GLOBOCAN 2022, WHO). Most of these lives are lost because the disease is detected too late. But early detection makes a real difference—it can save lives. That’s why we at the Cameroon American Football Federation urge all women to perform regular self-breast exams, get annual clinical breast checks, and if over 40, talk to a doctor about mammography. don’t wait, if any abnormality Seek medical advice immediately.
As an organisation that promotes gender equality in sports and Women's health, we are committed to promoting awareness and empowering women with the tools to take charge of their health. We call on every woman to be proactive and every community to support early screening and access to care.
