Sport is facing a global revolution, combining economic, societal and digital transformations. It requires a new state of mind, transcending profits, and meeting the expectations of the new generation. Sport has become an economic sector, but also a societal one that cannot be ignored at the global level. New markets with enormous potential are developing, notably in the Gulf States, China and India. Major sporting events are multiplying. Digital technology is transforming practices and enriching our knowledge of consumers and sport practitioners. All of these developments are leading sports players - equipment manufacturers, sports brands, clubs and federations, and sports event organizers - to seek out specialists in the sector.
Faced with this new context, we are convinced that more innovative and sustainable sport could play a decisive role in responding to the challenges facing society today. It is time to act, to redirect sport to its original purpose and to redefine its role in society in order to make it a force for progress and innovation.
