You can choose to participate to one or two of the races.

Matterhorn Ultraks combines Ski Touring and Trail Running; both competitions will take place against the stunning backdrop of the Matterhorn in Zermatt from 2013. Our goal with Matterhorn Ultraks is to create a race that will become an important "rendez-vous" of the calendar, responding to the increasing popularity of both disciplines and giving newcomers the opportunity to have a go and offer spe

ctators courses that they can easily follow. The wintertime SkiTour, hosted in a magical Alpine landscape, will test the most talented competitors (porterage, glacier safety, crossing ridges that are seldom travelled and much more), while also allowing the less experienced to perform at a level they are comfortable with on courses that are marked out and made safe for the event. The summertime Trail Run will follow the winter route as closely as possible providing equal challenge and opportunity for the most discerning Trail runner and the newcomer respectively. Both events will have fully secured back up routes that will guarantee competition whatever the weather.
