World on a String — Yannick Mosimann
Through its seemingly minimalist yet profoundly compelling interplay of visual imagery, poetic language, and rhythm, World on a String by Yannick Mosimann may be read as a critique of notions of progress. At the same time, it subtly raises an immanent political question for viewers concerning their role in the sustainable co-creation and stewardship of the world.
Those Who Hear The Sun — Maurizius Staerkle Drux
Those Who Hear The Sun by Maurizius Staerkle Drux heightens our awareness of the profound significance of sensory perception to human existence. Drawing on the filmmaker’s own lived experience, it brings visibility to a community that too often remains unseen, offering audiences a rare and valuable glimpse into a world that is largely unfamiliar to many. Through powerful and innovative visual storytelling, it invites us to engage with the auditory world of deaf people in a striking and deeply affecting way. In doing so, it not only broadens our understanding of human experience but also makes a meaningful contribution to greater social inclusion.
