Sandboard World Cup 2021

Due to the current situation that has generated uncertainty for the realization of different events, in reference to the Sandboard World Cup - SWC, we are communicating to the sandboarding community.
As snowboarding in the dunes has been gaining strength and development with the realization of this high-performance event, we establish the following:

• International Sandboarding and SandSki Association continue to consider holding 02 modalities for the event in the period of every two years.

•The modalities will be segmented in the following way; “Sandboardcross – Slalom” (which are defined as “F” modalities) or “Big Jump Expression – Slopestyle” (which are defined as “T” modalities).

• In the event that the “F” modalities are carried out in 2021, therefore the “T” modalities will be carried out in 2022 or vice versa.

Why does InterSands call the Big Air modality Big Jump Expression?

We consider that the evolution of sandboarding has very important stages for its development to the eyes of the whole world and not only of the people who live in the dunes.

Snowboarding is the mecca of evolution on the board and we could not compare it to the Big Air of the snow with incredible jumps and maneuvers.

In the ex*****on of jumps in the sand and snow it has a lot of difference and the main one is the rider's time in the air, in the snow they have more ex*****on control and style for the maneuver but in the sand it is not the same.

The expression of the jump in the sand we want it to be very stylish and we do not want it to resemble snow because it is not the same, but, having snow as a clear example that is important, because the rider is looking for the combination of both to execute the maneuver in good style in the sand.

In theory or would the same, but we would like snow riders to differentiate between sand and snow.

Years ago, snow riders definitely didn't imagine they they could do tricks with a snowboard or ski in the sand like on the snow.
