L’idea che ci spinge ad organizzare questo Festival di Musica e Culture è la nostra ferma convinzione che la conoscenza passi attraverso l’incontro, è quello che intendiamo promuovere con il festival Grin. Grin in dialetto di Roveredo vuol dire Grillo, e ci piacerebbe che attraverso questo evento le persone si fermassero per una giornata ad ascoltare il canto degli altri; la scelta di un termine dialettale come nome del festival è necessaria ad affermare come l’incontro tra le diverse culture debba partire dalla conoscenza della propria. Grin è anche il suono della parola “Verde” in inglese, nel nostro caso rappresenta il luogo in cui si svolge l’evento, immerso nel verde all’interno di un azienda agricola biologica. A livello musicale vorremmo oltre a riproporre il concerto di musica indiana ad un pubblico maggiore, integrare altre comunità presenti sul territorio Vallerano:
- Comunità Balcanica con concerto dei gruppo musicale Balkan
Lovers
- Comunità portoghese con concerto di musica Fado
- Comunità indiana con il gruppo indo-germanico Neckarganga

For this special edition entirely dedicated to female music, GRIN Festival is proud to welcome the incredible Zawose Queens. Friday 26 June

Coming from Tanzania, Pendo and Leah Zawose carry on the legacy of the legendary Zawose musical family, blending hypnotic polyrhythms, powerful polyphonic vocals and traditional Gogo music with contemporary electronic influences.

With their debut album Maisha, the Zawose Queens became the first women of the Zawose family to step forward as leading artists, bringing a fresh and powerful voice to the international world music scene.

🌿 Rooted in tradition while looking forward, they embody the spirit of this year’s GRIN Festival: female energy, cultural connection and music without borders.

Hi friends of Grin, today we’re excited to introduce a new artist who will be part of the Grin Festival 2026.

On Friday, June 26th at the Grin Festival, Maija Kauhanen from Finland 🇫🇮 takes the stage. A true one-woman orchestra — singer, composer and master of the kantele, the traditional Finnish instrument she turns into a hypnotic, powerful and contemporary sound. Nordic folk roots, vocal loops, rhythm and a strong musical identity come together in an intense and immersive live performance.
In an edition of the festival focused on female music and voices, Maija brings presence, vision and real energy.
