We are 10 days on from our FIMBA Ticino 2025 World Championship medal successes, plus four top 10 team rankings. The GB Maxibasketball national performance programme is now looking to build on these achievements ahead of the European Maxibasketball Championship, which is scheduled for 26 June to 5 July 2026 in Athens.
We anticipate fielding GB male and female teams in age categories 35+, 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+ and 60+, and will consider other age groups if there is strength and depth of player demand and of course the availability of coaches and support staff. We will be running two open sessions (trials & selection) for players, new coaches and support staff in September and October 2025.
Women: 13-14th Sept and 11&12 October 2025
Men: 20-21st Sept and 25-26th October 2025
Typically, camps are 10am to 4pm, or 9am to 3pm, each day with breaks for off-court sessions in between. All camps have sports science & medicine staff in attendance.
If this appeals to you, then we’d be pleased to welcome you to our trials. Please complete our 2025/26 registration form (it's on our website in the latest news article) and further information will be sent to you nearer the time. We are open to all masters aged players from any club or organisation.

Wczoraj graliśmy ćwierćfinał z zespołem Serbii o awans do półfinału FIMBA World Maxibasketball Championship 2025 rozgrywanych w Ticino w Szwajcarii. Niestety Serbowie okazali się za silni dla nas i pomimo dobrej naszej gry i prowadzeniu do przerwy, pokonali nas zdecydowanie 64:47...
