Lausanne jiu-jitsu Championship

We are organization to promote the best of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Switzerland. Eventually, one can challenge him/herself during tournaments.

Today, over 2'000 athletes (and still growing) practice the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu across Switzerland. Beyond the martial art, the combat sport and the way of life, it allows the practitioners to build and develop a strong acumen over the continual learning of techniques. Our mission is to develop and promote Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Switzerland. We aspire to give a chance to all athletes (from

kids to seniors categories) to compete within their country - with their family and friends around them. The city of Lausanne represents the Sport location by excellence worldwide. It is a unique place for a unique sport event such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Between 300 and 400 athletes should respond to this fantastic opportunity and are currently training hard for that big day of 2016 in Switzerland. That is why we are organising this year the Lausanne Open championship. It will be the fifth out of the existing four Swiss tournaments held in Geneva, Bern, Lausanne and Neuchatel. With the growing interest of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, we are discussing the feasibility for the Lausanne Open to be part of the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) worldwide championships circuit.

Nos petits guerriers vont envahir les tatamis pour une journée inoubliable ! Nous avons préparé un championnat encore plus exceptionnel cette année, avec :
Plus de combats pour qu’ils puissent montrer toute leur technique et leur détermination.
Plus de médailles pour récompenser les efforts de chacun.
Plus de joie et de plaisir garantis pour les enfants, et énormément de fierté pour les parents dans les tribunes !

BJJ & GRAPPLING FESTIVAL: THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS!
Get ready for an adrenaline-filled day on the mats. The Swiss Jiu-Jitsu Association (SJJA) is proud to invite the entire community to the BJJ & Grappling Festival. Whether you are a seasoned competitor or looking for your first tournament experience, this event is for you!
EVENT DETAILS

• 🕐 Start Time: 1:00 PM (13:00)
• 📍 Location: Wankdorf, Bern
• 🌍 Eligibility: Open to all academies and affiliations.
COMPETITION FORMAT
The festival will feature two main categories, allowing athletes to test their skills in different styles:
1. GI Tournament (Kimono): Traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu rules.
2. NO-GI Tournament (Grappling): Fast-paced action with modern grappling rules.
