MUJINGA KAMBUNDJI, SPORTIVE SUISSE DE L'ANNEE
La championne d'origine congolaise a été la grande dame de la soirée des Swiss Sports Awards, organisée dimanche 15.12.2019 à Zurich. MARATHON DE LAUSANNE 2019 : LES AFRICAINS TIRENT LEUR EPINGLE DU JEU

Comme d’habitude, le marathon de Lausanne qui s’est déroulé le dimanche 27 octobre 2019, a permis aux athlètes africains de s’imposer dans la plupart des courses. Chez les hommes, la course reine (42 km), les Africains ont raflé les 3 premières place, à travers l’éthiopien Woldesemayat Ayele Tsige (1er), son compatriote, Tura Kumbi Bechere (2ème) et le kenyan Isaac Kibiwott Maiyo a fini 3ème. Le semi marathon hommes a été également remporté par l’éthiopien Alemayehu Wodajo. Chez les femmes, le semi marathon a été remporté par l’éthiopienne Gezahegn Merine Meseret devant une autre éthiopienne, Israel Silass Geletu. Les 10 km hommes ont été remportés par l’Erythréen Tesfaye Felfele tandis que les 10 km dames ont vu l’éthiopienne Helen Bekele Tola s’imposer.

MARATHON OF LAUSANNE 2019: BRILLIANT DEMONSTRATION OF AFRICAN ATHLETES

As usual, the Lausanne marathon, which took place on Sunday 27 October 2019, allowed African athletes to win in most races. In men's queen race (42 km), Africans have won the top 3, through the Ethiopian Woldesemayat Ayele Tsige (1st), his compatriot, Tura Kumbi Bechere (2nd) and Kenyan Isaac Kibiwott Maiyo has finished 3rd. The men's half marathon was also won by Ethiopian Alemayehu Wodajo.

DON DE 12 MILLIONS D'EUROS DE ROGER FEDERER POUR LA CONSTRUCTION DE 80 ECOLES EN AFRIQUE

Le joueur de tennis suisse Roger Federer a fait don de 12 millions d’euros à un projet de renforcement de l’éducation au Malawi dans le cadre des actions menées par sa fondation dans ce pays africain. Un geste exceptionnel à saluer. Rappelons que le champion suisse est à moitié vu que sa mère est originaire d'Afrique du Sud.

La Suisse a battu l’Eire ce mardi 16 10.2019 sur le score de 2-0. Trois joueurs d’origine africaine ont pris part à cette belle victoire qui rapproche la Suisse de l’Euro 2020. Il s’agit de Brel EMBOLO (Cameroun), Denis Zakaria (RD Congo) et de Manuel AKANJI (Nigéria).

Elle est née le 17 juin 1992, d'un père congolais, Safuka Kambundji, et d'une mère bernoise. Elle devient rapidement l'une des meilleures sprinteuses du pays: elle est championne de Suisse sur 100 mètres en 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013 et 2014 ainsi que sur 200 mètres en 2009, 2012, 2013 et 2014. Le 8 juillet 2016, Kambundji remporte sa 1ère médaille internationale séniore en décrochant le bronze de la finale du 100 m des Championnats d'Europe d'Amsterdam en 11 s 25. Le 19 février 2017, elle devient championne de Suisse du 60 m en 7 s 18. Le 17 février 2018, Mujinga Kambundji remporte à Macolin un nouveau titre de championne de Suisse en salle du 60 m en réalisant la meilleure performance mondiale de l'année en 7 s 03, performance également synonyme de nouveau record de Suisse et de 5ème meilleure performance européenne de l'histoire.
