On 28.3.2020 the first Tutorial Film Festival of the world starts in Basel - and online via stream. 12 hours of film, video tutorials, live tutorials, award show and DIY bar. The Do! Tutorial Film Festival is seeking this pre-awareness moment and is trying to celebrate this format. Eine geladene Jury gemeinsam mit dem Publikum macht sich auf, die Welt der Video-Tutorials ans Licht zu holen. Und ihr die Bühne zu geben, die ihr gebührt. Denn was sich ändert, darum geht es. Und jeder Act des Erlernens und Selbermachen – ob jetzt perfekt oder nur gemacht – bringt uns weiter und ermächtigt uns. Es selber in die Hand nehmen ist Teil der Video-Tutorial-Welt. An invited jury sets out to bring the world of video tutorials to light. And to give it the stage it deserves. It is all about the change in perception and democratisation of knowledge. Every act of learning and doing it yourself – whether perfect or just done – takes us further and empowers us. Taking it into your own hands is part of the video tutorial world.
