April is Sikh Heritage Month!

Community member Mahekleen Gill from Sikh Heritage Manitoba wrote about the significance of this month to Sikh people in Manitoba.

"Sikh Heritage Month is a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the rich history, enduring legacy, and invaluable contributions of Sikh communities across Canada. In Manitoba, Sikhs have been part of the social and cultural fabric for generations, with stories that span decades, many of which remain untold. This month serves as an important time to recognize and honour those early pioneers whose resilience, service, and dedication helped shape the province we know today."

Follow along as we share events and stories from the Sikh community and our members all month long.
