One of our favourite things about Folklorama is that you can celebrate a culture while learning a little more about what makes it so special.

A huge thank you to our incredible team for making mornings like this happen. It takes time, talent, and a whole lot of heart to bring the Irish Pavilion to life—and from our dancers and musicians to our coordinators and volunteers, everyone gives all three so generously. (Even before coffee. ☕💚)

WINNIPEG! We missed you, did you miss us? 😉💚

We are only eight short sleeps away from the first day of Folklorama 2026 and we are SO excited to show you what our team has been working to put together for you this year.

How many of you have heard of Celtic Illumination Art? 🙋‍♀️🙋This medieval Christian art form was used to decorate handwritten manuscripts in Ireland and Britain between the 6th and 9th centuries. Created by monks, these stunning works—including the Book of Kells, the Lindisfarne Gospels and the Book of Durrow—are known for their elaborate designs and mesmerizing patterns rather than realistic depth. Respectfully, AI could never. 😏

Featuring performances from our very own McDonnell School of Irish Dance and crowd favourite, Encore, we are excited to welcome you back to our little slice of Ireland.
