Corb Lund played four full albums over two nights in Victoria - a risky endeavour with a dozen albums under his belt - and the fans ate it up.

Corb’s not afraid to share the spotlight with his band. It’s a special thing to see your hometown heroes play a road game, as 2/3 of the “Hurtin’ Albertans” are from Winnipeg. Sean Burns sang verses on several songs and got huge pops from the crowd on the first night, and Grant Siemens showed off his guitar prowess on night #2. Somehow we haven’t the opportunity to meet drummer Lyle but he had us both mesmerized from our stairway vantage point.

Triumph exceeded all expectations last night at the big arena. There are a lot of bands touring that should be playing the retirement home circuit or just hanging it up, but these guys found a formula that really delivered.
