🇮🇹 Sant Ippolito Italian Festival Featured on CTV News! 🇮🇹

We are incredibly proud that the Sant Ippolito Italian Festival was recently featured on CTV News, giving us the opportunity to share the story behind this special celebration and why it continues to be so important to our community.

For more than 20 years, the Sant Ippolito Festival has brought together families and friends from across Windsor-Essex to celebrate faith, culture, heritage, and community. Rooted in the traditions of Sant’Ippolito in Calabria, Italy, the festival honours Sant’Ippolito Martire while preserving the customs passed down by our parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents.

The festival is much more than a single day of celebrations. It is a living reminder of who we are and where we come from. Through our religious procession, traditional Italian food, music, dancing, family activities, and community gatherings, we continue to keep our Italian heritage alive for future generations.

During our CTV News feature, we also spoke about the importance of supporting not only the Sant Ippolito Festival but all Italian festivals throughout Windsor and all multi cultural festivals. These events play a vital role in preserving our traditions, teaching younger generations about their roots, and strengthening the bonds within our Italian-Canadian community.

In a world that changes so quickly, festivals like Sant Ippolito remind us of the values that matter most: faith, family, tradition, and community. They provide a place where stories are shared, friendships are renewed, and cultural traditions continue to thrive.

The Sant'Ippolito Festival Committee is proud and excited to invite our community to the official unveiling of our newly produced version of the beloved Sant'Ippolito statue on Sunday, July 26 at 11:30 a.m. at the Ciociaro Club of Windsor!
