What a great event we had this year! Another successful fair where 30 kidpreneurs sold their products, learned about business and had fun! Special thanks to Mayor Elizabeth Roy, Town of Whitby, Acton Children's Business Fair, Spanish in Durham, Rotary Club of Whitby, volunteers, friends and parents for supporting and encouraging these amazing children in their entrepreneurial journey.
This fair started by a mom (me) who noticed that her kid had entrepreneurial interests. He would sell all sorts of things to his neighbors (even a rubber chicken), set up lemonade and hot chocolate stands, etc. She heard about a Children's Business Fair in Waterloo and decided to bring this opportunity to the Durham Region so her kid could participate. With the help from friends, family, volunteers and community organizations, this event has grown every year and has now motivated participating parents to organize their own fairs in other parts of the GTA.
