We’re still taking in feedback from the first-ever Waterloo Railway Expo, and comments like this truly mean a lot to us. To hear that the Expo made this kind of impression is both humbling and incredibly motivating.

We’re already talking, planning and dreaming up ways to make Waterloo Railway Expo 2027 even better.

Thank you, Pete, and thank you to everyone who helped make year one something special!

People are still talking about the steam excursion at the Waterloo Railway Expo!
There’s just something about seeing a steam locomotive in action, and if you’ve been waiting for another chance, you won’t have to wait much longer!
The Waterloo Central Railway crew is getting excited to bring Steam Locomotive No. 9 back out for Thanksgiving Weekend.
Want to experience it for yourself? Tickets are available through https://waterloocentralrailway.com/

A big thank you to everyone who brought their models to the Waterloo Railway Expo and shared their incredible craftsmanship with us!

Our Model Display Room was filled with railway modelling in all its forms, from beautifully finished models and impressive scratch-built creations to works still in progress. We loved seeing such a variety of scales, techniques and projects, and hearing the stories behind them.

Your craftsmanship helped make the Expo something special!

Our WRE t-shirts made it all the way to Porters Lake, Nova Scotia!

Former WCR volunteer Rick is proudly sporting his Waterloo Railway Expo gear out on the East Coast. We love seeing a little piece of the Expo travelling across Canada!
Looking good, Rick!

As we look back on the very first Waterloo Railway Expo, there’s one thing we can’t say enough… thank you!

To everyone who attended, volunteered, exhibited, sponsored, supported and helped bring this event to life, 2026 was a success because of you. We are incredibly humbled by the support of the railway community and so grateful you were part of our first year.

And we’re not done sharing the memories yet! Stay tuned for more from an unforgettable weekend.

See you in 2027!
