Meet Tenley Lang – 2025 youth!

Youth are the future of rodeo, and we are so excited to continue cheering on the Lang girls for years to come!

Tenley is a young competitor who loves the excitement of speed events and the partnership she shares with her horses. She competes in barrels, poles, keyhole, and down-and-back, bringing enthusiasm and determination to every run.

One of Tenley's proudest accomplishments is winning High Point Speed at the 2025 Dungannon Horse Shows, where she earned her very first belt buckle.

Like many riders, she's faced challenges along the way, including teaching her horse to confidently run through a chute. Through patience and practice, she continued working toward her goals.

This season, Tenley is excited to be training a new pony and hopes to win a belt buckle with him. She says what makes her pony special is simple—he's the prettiest horse in the world.

What Tenley loves most about competing is getting her pony all dressed up and heading off to a show, ready for a fun day in the arena.

Anna Lang was one of our youth competitors in 2025!

Anna brings determination and speed to every run she makes in the arena. Competing in barrels, poles, keyhole, and down-and-back, she has developed into a confident competitor while learning to overcome the nerves that come with rodeo.

One of Anna's proudest achievements is earning the High Point Junior B Speed title, and she's working hard to build on that success this season. Her goals include putting together strong runs, defending her speed title, and hopefully cashing a cheque at the Holmdale Pro Rodeo.

Her horse is a special partner with one standout trait, is speed. Together, they're always ready to give it their all when it's time to compete.

For Anna, rodeo is about more than competition. She loves the excitement of the sport, the friendships she's made along the way, and the opportunity to spend weekends doing what she loves most.

Happy Father’s Day!
Today, I’m excited to announce that I’m running for Brockton Council.

As a husband and father of four, I think a lot about the kind of community we’re building for our children. That’s one of the reasons I’ve decided to run for Council.

I was born at Walkerton Hospital, graduated from Sacred Heart High School, and continued my education at Fanshawe College. In 2015, I founded Sons of Concrete, where I’ve learned firsthand the value of hard work, accountability, and making every dollar count.

I’m running because I believe it’s time to give back to the community that has given so much to my family and me. I want to help ensure Brockton remains one of the best places to live, work, and raise a family.

As your Councillor, my priorities will be:

✔️ Respect every taxpayer dollar through responsible financial management.
✔️ Support sustainable growth and a strong local economy.
✔️ Invest in infrastructure and services that benefit our community.
✔️ Preserve the small-town character and quality of life that make Brockton special.
✔️ Promote an open, transparent, and accessible local government.

Over the coming months, I look forward to meeting residents, listening to your ideas and concerns, and learning what matters most to you.

Emilee Langford has built a very impressive Rodeo Resume!

Emilee took 2nd place in ladies pole bending last year at Holmdale Pro Rodeo. She also has back-to-back OHSRA Pole Bending titles and earned top spot at the 2025 IPRA Pole Bending Championship. Her success is a reflection of years of dedication, perseverance, and a commitment to continual improvement.

The road to success hasn't been without challenges. From adapting to new horses and moving across the country to competing without the support of family nearby, she has learned to navigate both the highs and lows that come with rodeo life.

This season, her sights are set on defending her pole bending success with another title run while continuing to become more competitive aboard her barrel horse.

Her horses are at the heart of everything she does. Her pole horse is the definition of consistency, a trusted partner, best friend, and the horse that has opened countless doors throughout her career. Her barrel horse brings a different challenge, pushing her to become a better rider, trainer, and competitor every day.

For her, the greatest part of competing isn't the awards or accolades, it's the horses. Through every victory and setback, they are the reason behind her drive, work ethic, and determination. They fuel her passion for the sport and inspire her to chase every opportunity that comes her way.

Next competitor to meet is Abby Bickmore;
Holmdale Pro Rodeo 2025 - Jr. barrel racing 2nd place.

At just 16 years old, Abby Bickmore has already built a reputation for dedication, perseverance, and a deep connection with her horses. One of the accomplishments she's most proud of is the journey she shared with her first horse, Archie. Neither horse nor rider started as experienced barrel racers, but after three years of learning and growing together, the pair capped off their final season by winning two buckles. A testament to hard work, determination, and believing in the process.

Competing in both barrel racing and pole bending, Abby has learned that success in rodeo isn't always measured by the clock. One of her biggest challenges has been developing the confidence to push forward when runs don't go as planned. Through the ups and downs of competition, she's learned to stay resilient, learn from mistakes, and come back stronger each time she enters the arena.

This season, Abby's focus is on becoming more consistent, continuing to strengthen her partnership with Oak(aka Last silver bullet), and earning opportunities to compete at bigger events.

Her current partner, Oak, is a horse she describes as having a huge heart. No matter the conditions or competition, he always gives his best effort and takes care of her both in and out of the arena. That trust and determination make him a special teammate every time they make a run.

While competition is exciting, Abby says her favorite part of rodeo is the people. The friendships she's built, the support from family and fellow competitors, and being surrounded by others who share the same passion for horses and rodeo make every trip down the alleyway worthwhile.

Want to know some of the competitors you'll see this year?

Meet Aliya Harris; last years Junior Pole Bending Champion at Holmdale Pro Rodeo!

One of her proudest accomplishments is the success she's earned through the OHSRA, collecting multiple buckles after years of determination and countless hours in the arena.

She competes in junior barrel racing, junior pole bending, breakaway roping, and goat tying, with plans to add team roping to her lineup this season.

A major turning point in her rodeo career came when she transitioned from the dependable horse she grew up riding to a much faster, more challenging barrel horse. Learning to adapt and grow alongside a higher-powered partner helped take her skills to the next level.

This season, her focus is on putting together clean, consistent breakaway runs and continuing to build confidence in the roping pen.

Her horses each bring something special to the team. Snoopy is always first at the gate and never turns down a cuddle. Rooster gives everything he has every time he enters the arena, driven by his desire to please. Mater may act tough under saddle, but underneath it all he's a gentle giant who loves treats and spending time with kids.

What she loves most about rodeo is the people she meets along the way and the rush of adrenaline that comes with every run.

Whether she's racing the clock or stepping into the roping box, she's always chasing the next opportunity to improve and compete at her best.

Those boots tell a story.

Some belong to the contestants who've spent months practicing, traveling, and putting in the work for a chance at eight seconds of glory.

Some belong to the volunteers who have spent countless hours planning, organizing, setting up, and making sure every detail is ready before the first gate swings open.

Some belong to the stock contractors, vendors, sponsors, and everyone else working behind the scenes long before the crowd arrives.

When the sun sets over the arena, it's easy to see the lights, hear the music, and feel the excitement.

What you don't always see are the hours, days, and months of hard work that got us there.

These boots may be covered in dust, but every scuff, scratch, and muddy footprint represents dedication, tradition, and a shared commitment to keeping rodeo alive.

Here's to the people behind the scenes, the people in the arena, and the community that brings it all together.

We'll see you at the rodeo. 🤠🐂
