A huge thank you goes to Hailey, Veronica, and the Canadian Women's Polo Series for hosting the Annual Polo in Purple polo match. 🏇 💜

We are thrilled to share that this beautiful day of polo, connection, and community raised over $10,000 in support of survivors of gender-based violence. Your generosity and presence help ensure that women, children, and gender-diverse individuals have access to the safety and support they deserve.

And a special thank you to the amazing vendors and supporters whos came out again the next day for the Purple Pony Market- you kept the energy going and the impact growing.

Together, we are creating a future free from violence.

The third annual Polo in Purple was such an amazing day!! A gorgeous day of women's polo, amazing outfits, ice cream, and of course raising money for Gillian's Place.

Our introductory beginner game was a mix of new women to the sport as well as some of our youngest girls. With Mara, Marilyn and Ashley playing in their very first grass tournament!

Our second game sported some of our top players to duke it our for a rematch between the pink Veronica Thompson team, and London Agricultural Commodities.. with team Veronica taking the trophy for the second year in a row!

What a day!! The weather yesterday couldn’t have been more perfect, and what an amazing turnout we had to watch all of our incredible women play their hearts out for charity.

A HUGE thank you to our Team Sponsors, Veronica Thompson and London Agricultural Commodities for supporting these women and our cause, Gillian's Place. And a huge thank you to our tent supplier Sunbelt Rentals.

Great support from our sponsors as well as everyone who bought a ticket, bet on our 50/50, and overall donations is the reason we can help the wonderful staff at GP continue their support programs for women, children, and LGBTQ+ individuals.

This year we had a Round Robin with our 3 teams, with visiting players from as far as Ocala, Florida! For some of our local ladies this was their very first tournament! In addition to the fun of watching these ladies play, we also had a 50/50 raffle, and of course our Best Hat and Best Tailgate prizes, as well as our Door Prize donated by HorsePlay Niagara, Meraki Beauty Academy, and the Greater Niagara Polo Club.

Thank you to all of our players who each put in the work raising money for Gillian’s Place, all of our volunteers, and our always amazing photographer Todd Morris Photography and his daughter Cat for capturing such a special day.

Gates open at 12:00pm - The volunteers at the gate will have a list of who have donated for their respective ticket, afterwards you will be directed to your numbered spot on the field.

Game Begins at 1:00pm - We will have a round robin of our three all female teams, Veronica Thompson vs LAC vs CWPS.

Awards Ceremony at 2:30pm - Join us after the game for the player awards ceremony as well as prizes for the crowd such as Best Hat, Best Tailgate Setup, as well as a Door Prize, as well as the 50/50 Raffle Draw.

Bone Apple Teeth Bakehouse will be joining us and offering a delicious variety of baked goods near the Announcers Tent.

Happy International Women’s Day! 💜

Today is a day that we are reminded to reach out and appreciate the women in our lives and thank them for being who they are! For being strong, resilient, inspiring, and determined.

We started the Canadian Women’s Polo Series so there is a dedicated place where women in the sport can come together and bring each other up. The primary goal of the CWPS is to help women in the sport become the best they can be, and help create opportunities for each other to grow and improve on themselves.

It is our job as women to support other women not only in a sport we love so much, but in our every day world around us!
