We want to give a heartfelt shoutout to our friend , Debra Elaine Bell, whom we recently lost. Deb was a passionate supporter of live music and the Folk Fest community.

A proud member of the Kwakwaka’wakw First Nation, she played an important role in helping us bring May & Scott to the festival last year, opening the day with their beautiful song and blessing.

Deb had been in touch recently, sharing how excited she was to return as a vendor for this year’s festival. Her presence, warmth, and dedication will be deeply missed.

She made a lasting impact on our music community.

We will miss you, Deb — and we are so grateful for everything you gave. 💛
