Today’s headlines tell the story of the challenges Planet Earth is facing. What to do? The first step is to learn more about the issues, from Indigenous people, from scientists, and from conservationists. Knowledge is power.

The Elements Film Festival is here to take you deeper into the stories behind the headlines. The films in our 2020 program come from filmmakers in 10 countries, as well as filmmakers right here at home in Vancouver. Each of the films presents a unique perspective on the issues of climate change, plastic pollution, deforestation, human-wildlife conflict, and habitat destruction.
