A perfect season finale for The Book Drunkard Festival! Even the weather cooperated 🌞

Susanna Kearsley did such an amazing job interviewing. It's clear how much care and research she puts into it, and everyone was so comfortable and genuine. Being in the room with such intelligent, strong forces of nature was awe-inspiring, yet it felt like sitting around the kitchen table with a cuppa!

Huge thank you to Heather Marshall, Kate Hilton and Genevieve Graham for sharing their stories with us. We can't wait to dive in 📚

Signed copies of THE CHAMBERMAID'S KEY, LIBERTY STREET, and CITY OF THE MUSE are available now at Blue Heron Books.

Happy release week to THE CHAMBERMAID'S KEY by Genevieve Graham!

This is a dazzling novel set at an elegant hotel in Toronto in 1929 about a young chambermaid, a handsome waiter, and a murder that will reverberate for a century. Spanning nearly a century, The Chambermaid’s Key is a gripping dual-timeline novel about ambition, betrayal, and the secrets that bind us across generations.

We're beyond excited to have Genevieve Graham joining Heather Marshall, Kate Hilton and Susannah Kearsley our Book Drunkard Festival event on May 3rd.

This books and brunch event features not one but THREE fabulous new historical fiction novels, that all have dual timelines and all of which made bestseller list this week 🤯

We can't wait! See you all in May 3rd!

P.S. this is a sold out event, but we'll still have signed copies of the featured books available in the store after the event. Stay tuned!

Happy release day to CITY OF THE MUSE by Kate Hilton!!

For fans of THE LOST APOTHECARY, this is a gripping dual-timeline novel about a mysterious death during an archaeological dig in the early 1900s and an aspiring young female researcher's present day quest to solve the murder.

We are so excited for this one and can't wait to see Kate Hilton at our event on May 3rd!

We had a fantastic time with Uzma Jalaluddin and Benjamin Stevenson at Woodens Sticks! Huge thanks to Sue Hincenbergs for leading such a funny, smart, and insightful conversation 🥰

Uzma Jalaluddin and Benjamin Stevenson were a great pairing- they complimented each other perfectly! We learned all about crafting a 'fair-play' mystery- but I think we'll leave it in the hands of the pros for now 😅

Signed copies of EVERYONE IN THIS BANK IS A THEIF and MOONLIGHT MURDER are available now at Blue Heron Books!

Sunday's Books and Brunch was a morning full of belly laughs!

Kerry Clare and Bianca Marais were a superb combination!!
A fab conversation wandering down a few intriguing rabbit holes 👀

We learned so much about Barbara Pym, jumble sales, neighbours/not-neighbours....

If you weren't lucky enough to get a ticket to today's event, you really do need to pick up a copy of DEFINITELY THRIVING— a smart romance where everyone is perfectly imperfect, even the one-eyed cat!

Thank you everyone who joined us!

Happy International Women's Day!!

We could not have picked a better event to celebrate with:
Tara Gereaux and Sadeqa Johnson, interviewed by kath Jonathan! A conversation between three fabulously talented women, in a room filled with engaged, book loving women (and a few supportive men).

Oh, and PLUS there was brunch 🤤📚☕

While the books may seem different on the surface, Kath Jonathan proved they were a perfect match, and everyone left with plenty to discuss (and plenty to read too!).

Thank you all for joining us today, and thank you to our fantastic authors for sharing your work and wisdom!
