🛋 Our second-last Sofa Sunday of the year is coming up with Leigh Wills (aka Bill Ricky) and Steam Mill Band! ✨️

We have been loving the incredible diversity of music this season, and the magic that happens when you get to experience live music up close and personal.

If you haven't made it to a Sofa Sunday yet, we encourage you to come out this month or next and experience it for yourself!

Tickets are FREE (with donations always gratefully accepted), so bring a friend and feel the power of live music.

We'd love to see you there! 🎶 💛

✨Join us for a dreamy Sunday afternoon, with music from harpist Ellen Gibling and folk duo The Dusty Halos 🎶

Ellen Gibling is a harpist based in K'jipuktuk/Halifax, Nova Scotia whose music spans classical, Irish traditional, and improvised genres. She is a band member of Many Worlds and Borrowers, as well as playing with The Bombadils, Charlie Wilson, Olivia Barrett, Hayley Ryerson, Adrianna Ciccone, The Narrows, and Jack Chen.

Ellen’s solo album The Bend in the Light (2022) was reviewed as “bold and beautiful” (Celtic Life International) and “enchanting” (Folk London). Her duo album with fiddler Adrianna Ciccone, The Pear Tree (2024), has been described as “genuine, heartfelt, and as replenishing as a spring morning” (Textura).

With celestial harmonies and intricate fingerstyle guitar, The Dusty Halos combine the textures of old time acoustic music with original songwriting. Since forming in 2022, the Halifax-based folk duo has quickly gained attention for their songcraft and intimate vocal chemistry. Weaving themes of heartbreak and longing into tuneful tapestries, The Dusty Halos explore the interplay of light and darkness, finding solace in the shadows.

Music starts at 3pm. Tickets are by donation!
