The night shift doesn't stop. Not even for this. 🪓☕️

Some orders are worth fighting for. Roasted, packed, and on the road, no matter what's waiting in the hallway.

Good coffee on the way. 🎃

Happy Halloween from all of us at Ethica.
Watch till the very end. 👀

Fall days at Ethica. A little Halloween spirit, coffee, and live music.

While the weather is still warm, there's time to enjoy a coffee on our patio or head inside for some live music on Sunday.

See you around!

Huge thank you to everyone who came by to hang out, brew some coffee, and support this coffee potluck! 🤎☕️

My first community event was attending Vania ‘s Coffee Potluck and it’s been inspiring to see how coffee brings people together. I wanted to try organizing one after chatting with zoe! and share some coffees I’ve been enjoying!

For this event, I teamed up with ETHICA COFFEE ROASTERS, a Toronto-based roastery I discovered during one of my Toronto trip recommended by Joseph

Founded by Greg, Ethica takes inspiration from philosopher Baruch Spinoza’s Ethica, focusing on clarity, structure, and understanding the process behind every cup.

What I love about their approach is that great coffee doesn’t need to be intimidating. Whether you’re into bright, funky coffees or something more classic, the best coffee is simply the one you enjoy drinking.

Special thanks to Zoe & Finnie for brewing the whole time, simplelovecoffee for sharing the space, Ethica for providing the beans, and everyone who brought their own coffees, brewing gear, or just came by for a cup and a chat.

If you want to pick up their beans locally, I know Revolver and Feast & Fallow carry their beans. You can also order directly from their website!

Until the next one! ☕️

Great coffee at home starts with understanding the full picture behind every cup.

Ethica's Training Centre offers two hands-on courses designed to help you build confidence and develop your home barista skills.

Home Barista Basics — Learn the fundamentals of espresso, not just dialing in your grind but understanding extraction to achieve more consistent results at home.

Milk Steaming & Latte Art — Explore steaming techniques and pouring fundamentals to take your milk-based drinks to the next level.

Upcoming dates: October 24, November 28, and December 19.

We're also happy to partner with ecscoffee, a Canadian, family-owned coffee equipment retailer offering a wide range of espresso machines, grinders, and brewing accessories.

As part of this partnership, every participant who completes one of our courses receives an exclusive discount voucher offering 5% to 20% off selected coffee equipment at ECS Coffee, including espresso machines, grinders, and accessories — helping you put your new skills into practice at home.

Ready to learn something new?

Every coffee has a character of its own. At the roastery, we work through each detail with care to bring that character forward in the cup. It’s a craft we return to every day.
