Tonight: The Green Hours opens at Akasha Art Projects.

For q***r people, time spent in nature carries a particular charge. The Green Hours positions q***rness as part of the natural world’s ongoing patterns of diversity, adaptation, and transformation.

Together, the works propose that moving through nature as a q***r person is not to seek refuge from culture, but to enter into a different set of relations with the world around us.
Join us tonight for the opening.

Opening tonight: Thursday June 4, 6 to 9 p.m.
Runs: June 4 to July 8, 2026

Venue: Akasha Art Projects

Tomorrow night: The Green Hours opens at Akasha Art Projects.

The exhibition takes its name from a quality of time rather than a location: the hours of growth and shade, of the body slowing to match the pace of living things, of connection moving in both directions between people and the more-than-human world.

The Green Hours brings together artists working across painting, photography, textiles, and works on paper, exploring the overgrown and the tended, the migratory and the rooted.

Artists include Vincent Bonney-Lingston, Mimmo Baronello, Alana Bartol, Kristy Boyce, Troy Brooks, Genevieve Flavelle, James Fowler, Grant Heaps, Zachari Logan, Liam MacKenzie, Walter Segers, Cai Sepulis, Sarah Hunter and Pearl Van Geest.

Curated by SweetThings, the curatorial partnership of Pearl Van Geest and James Fowler, as part of Nuit Rose: Rewilding.

Opening: Thursday June 4, 6 to 9 p.m.
