🎬✨ TWO VOICES. TWO PERSPECTIVES. ONE PASSION FOR CINEMA.

At OWTFF 2026, we had the pleasure of welcoming two incredible industry professionals, Chris Currie and Blake Gordey, for inspiring conversations about creativity, growth, and the world of filmmaking.
🎤 Blake Gordey: Film 101, moderated by Chris Currie.

From navigating change to understanding the foundations of filmmaking, these talks reminded us that every creative journey is different and that learning never stops.

A heartfelt thank you to Chris and Blake for sharing their knowledge and being part of our 11th edition. ❤️

🎬✍️ BEHIND EVERY GREAT FILM IS A STORY WORTH TELLING.

At OWTFF 2026, we celebrated not only the art of storytelling but also the people who bring those stories to life.

We were honoured to welcome Marija M. Mitrovic, Business Agent with the Writers Guild of Canada (WGC), for our industry talk:

🎤 “Inside the Writers’ Room: Contracts, Careers & the Business of Screenwriting”

Beautifully hosted by the wonderful Janna Katz, this conversation brought an important spotlight to the professional side of screenwriting.

Because writing a great story is only the beginning. Understanding your rights, building your career, and knowing your worth matter just as much.

❤️ Thank you, Marija and Janna, for being part of our 11th edition.

🎬 Not everyone should judge films.
But maybe… you should.
The is opening its doors to new global judges for 2026.
And no—this isn’t about titles.
It’s about taste. Instinct. Vision.
Let’s be honest…
Too many films are judged by the same voices.
The same circles.
The same perspectives.
We’re changing that.
We’re building a jury that is:
🌍 Global
🎥 Diverse
🔥 Unafraid to recognize real storytelling
🎬 How it works:

-All judging happens on FilmFreeway
-100% online
-Volunteer-based
