I’m so proud to share that Lazy Daisy’s has been nominated for Canada’s Small Business 100—and they’ve asked me to share my story. 🌼

It begins on a small family farm in Midhurst, Ontario.
As a farm kid, I got up to all sorts, climbing apple trees, hay jumping and helping my Uncle Howard milk our cow, Daisy. I also spent time cooking and baking with my grandma Mabel, who taught me that homemade food is how you care for people, welcome them in and bring everyone together. Our front door was always open.

In 2011, I opened Lazy Daisy’s Café to bring that spirit of the farm to the city: real, locally sourced food, made with care and shared with our community.

Fast forward to 2022, during the pandemic. Our customers told me how much they missed our homemade buttermilk biscuits. That planted the seed for my second company, Lazy Daisy Foods. And that’s how our award-winning café biscuits became a frozen product people could bake at home.

We’ve stayed true to the same values: local, natural, homemade and community. Our biscuits are made with real butter and buttermilk, with no artificial flavours or preservatives—because frozen should never mean giving up the feeling of homemade.

Today, our biscuits are sold in more than 250 stores across Canada. And soon, you’ll see me pitch the Dragons in Season 21 of Dragons’ Den!

Through all the excitement of growing two businesses, I’m happiest knowing that we’re bringing a little of the homemade happiness I experienced on the farm to kitchen tables across Canada. 🇨🇦

Thank you to our hardworking team and to everyone who has supported us along the way. You are part of Daisy’s story. 💛

The front door is still always open.

We’re heading to the Dragons’ Den Season 21 Launch Party! 🐉🎉

Come celebrate the new season and shop some of your favourite Canadian businesses — including Lazy Daisy Foods! 🇨🇦

Our Bake-at-Home Buttermilk Biscuits will be there, and I’d really appreciate your support if you can make it. Come say hi, grab a pack (or two 😉), and show the Dragons that Daisy’s Buttermilk Biscuits are a Canadian product you want on your table!

There will be samples, games, live pitches, business panels and plenty of Dragon’s Den fun.

Deep-Fried Butter Has Landed at the CNE! 🤤

Lazy Daisy Foods has teamed up with Farm To Fryer for one seriously indulgent CNE creation: Deep-Fried Butter made with Daisy’s crispy cinnamon biscuit dough, a molten butter centre, and a cookie butter drizzle.

Because apparently biscuits weren’t indulgent enough. 😏
