Hello Toronto friends!

I’m opening my Riverdale studio for a holiday pop-up pottery sale (say three times fast) Sat Dec 9th AND Sun Dec 10th, with my pals , 10-5pm both days. Nearest major intersection queen and Broadview

Glazing can take me hours and many many brush strokes. With the marathon of glazing days last week I decided to do different brush strokes for each underglaze or glaze I was applying. The mustard I brushed on in quick short strokes. The black I intentionally lifted my pressure at the end of the brush stroke to see the brush and the yellow I brushed on in a circle, to attain the concentration of colour. This routine kept my attention with each piece and created subtle variety which I think helps to achieve some balance

A mug I like from my last kiln unloading. I used brown clay and covered it with white slip, then carved through. After bisque I used a combo of underglazes and glazes. Have a look. More like these will be available this SATURDAY DEC 3 check my bio for all the details.
