We are so excited to be a community partner for the Toronto Premiere screening of the new 4K restoration of Lino Brocka’s steamy 1988 masterpiece, MACHO DANCER TIFF

Equal parts q***r noir and social melodrama, Lino Brocka’s steamy MACHO DANCER dives into Manila’s neon-lit underbelly of s*x work to excavate the authoritarian rot that continued to permeate after the fall of the Marcos regime. It beautifully celebrates the choreography, labor, and camaraderie behind macho dancing necessary to survive on and offstage, returning to screens uncut in a glorious new restoration.
