What a way to close out the summer. We were blown away by how many of you came out to dance, play, and celebrate with us. Seeing that rooftop filled with so many Fabulonians was a pretty special end-of-summer highlight. 💖

🎨 A poster made by Planet Fabulon! 👽

Well... technically, made by a whole bunch of you.

During our 2026 winter season, Mirka Loiselle invited partygoers to draw their own creatures and characters. After the parties, Mirka gathered up your creations, cut them out, scanned them, and brought everyone together on one very weird little dance floor. 🪩

The result is our Planet Fabulon Collaborative Poster, created from the imaginations of our community and assembled by our Arts & Activities Coordinator, Mirka.

We first brought these out as a surprise at our April party, and since we’re celebrating our birthday on the rooftop, it felt like the perfect time to bring them back. 🎂☀️

🖼 Posters will be available at the rooftop party for PWYC, with a suggested $10–15 donation.

All proceeds go back into Planet Fabulon, helping us fairly pay our DJs and artists and keep making weird, wonderful things together.

🦞 THIS IS A LOBSTER. YOU CAN RIDE IT. 🦞

We probably could stop there.

But we should also tell you that this glorious crustacean comes from the wacky mind of Stephanie Avery! Her latest creation is part art installation, part 90s kiddie ride, and entirely the kind of nonsense we want more of at Solar Flair.

This lobster won’t take you surfing, but it WILL let you climb aboard for a stationary adventure while looking extremely cool in sunglasses.

Basically, it’s the Zellers kiddie ride of our dreams.

It’s weird. It’s wonderful. It’s got whim-sea. 🌊😎

💸 BRING LOONIES! The lobster only rocks when you feed it a loonie. We weren’t joking about the authentic Zellers experience. We’re just putting it on a downtown Toronto rooftop.

✨ Prepare to dazzle with an airbrush glitter tattoo from April Showers! With dramatic lines, whimsical colours and a dash of glitter, she’ll have you shining bright all afternoon.

🌿 Need a grounding recharge? Hypnosage will be offering holistic massages inspired by Thai yoga massage, myofascial techniques, and active release.

💸 Tarot, glitter tattoos, and massages are pay-what-you-can, so bring some cash and support these wonderful artists!

🎨 Stephanie Avery is bringing everything we need to create art together! Paint, draw, doodle, and leave your mark on our collaborative mural.

🎧☀️ Meet Your Rooftop DJs! ☀️🎧

One of our favourite things about Solar Flair is getting to celebrate the amazing talent in our own backyard. This year’s lineup is made up entirely of Toronto-based DJs, each bringing their own sound and style to the rooftop.

👯 Y2A mnt and .szok make up the dynamic duo behind Yas and Alex. They had us moving all afternoon at our Beach Party, and we’re so excited to welcome them back. Expect melodic grooves, tech house, and high-energy club sounds inspired by Bali, Tulum, and beyond.

🛼 Nikkii-Tee
Nicole Adams brings upbeat, genre-blending sets packed with singalongs, fresh discoveries, and feel-good energy. Her knack for blending familiar favourites with unexpected gems makes every set feel fresh.

🎷 Myself
Soroush Arghavan quite literally t***s his own horn, and he encourages you to toot yours! Expect bassy, sassy house, nostalgic remixes, and a few live saxophone moments that celebrate the joy of self-expression.

🪩 Dylan-Thomas
We’re beyond excited to welcome Dylan-Thomas as our headliner! He’s spent two decades shaping Toronto’s underground dance scene with disco, left-field house, and forgotten dance gems that never fail to fill a dance floor.

We’re thinking about building something new and want YOUR HELP!!

If we were to create a new event series, what experiences that you are craving these days? What are elements would help you feel more connected and supported?

Things like:

- types of music
- quieter / more cozy spaces
- spaces for arts and crafts
- substance free
- all ages
- smaller groups
- more consistent events in a series
- rituals
- singing
- knowledge sharing activities
- etc. etc. etc.

These are just some possibly ideas, but ultimately, would love to hear what your body and soul are craving to feel connected these days.
